The Blue Angels certainly lived out their motto “Ambassadors of Goodwill” during Covid in 2020. Their “American Strong” salute honored healthcare workers, first responders, essential personnel, etc. They flew over hard hit states like Arkansas, California Florida, New York, Tennessee and more.

Memorial Day weekend, witness the amazing aerial artistry of the Blue Angels at Westmoreland County Airshow in La Trobe, Pennsylvania. They will unveil a new Super Hornet jet and perform stunts and reenact war stunts.

The team is station at Fort Sherman Field, Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida during air show season. Their mission is bring aviation to men, women and children across America. For over 74 years they have mesmerized over more than 450 million spectators.

My art is shaped by childhood trips to historic Fort George Island. My passion for history and the ocean began early. While my father fished, I played on the jetties and splashed on the beach with my siblings. Although my parents were baffled by their artistic child, they never discouraged me from following my dream. They supported me at Hampton University. My mother flew to my graduation from the University of Hawaii. Whether painting lighthouses, portraits or historic buildings, I recall the fond days when my love of the ocean and history were instilled.
